Brennan Schaffner is a Postdoctoral Fritz Family Fellow at the Knight-Georgetown Institute. His research at KGI involves mapping the use of empirical evidence in digital platform litigation. Brennan aims to enhance the online experience of digital platforms and promote user well-being. His previous work includes investigations into how platforms moderate harmful content and experimental assessments of harmful platform design choices. In addition to publishing his work in leading Human-Computer Interaction conferences, he has also conducted research for expert witness reports and provided comments to regulatory agencies, offering evidence-based policy recommendations.
