David Atkinson is a postdoctoral Fritz Fellow. He grew up in rural Missouri. After earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, he joined the active duty army as a paratrooper, deploying once to Afghanistan. He left the military as a detachment commander and earned master’s degrees from Harvard University and Kansas State University before attending Georgetown Law. Upon graduation he worked in-house for a private education technology company, a public autonomous vehicle company, and a nonprofit AI research institute.
