Susan Aboeid is a second-year law student at Georgetown studying the intersection of surveillance, privacy, and international law. She previously served as the senior associate for the Arms Division at Human Rights Watch and as an “Emerging Weapons Expert” with the Forum on the Arms Trade, advocating for humanitarian disarmament and analyzing how autonomous weapons and other emerging technologies threaten civilian protections and human rights, especially in marginalized communities. Her earlier work spans ‘education in emergencies’ initiatives across Greece, Palestine, and Jordan.
